Seeing Labs is an exploratory group aiming to bring people together, encourage thought, and spark positivity. It was founded by Brooks Hassig and Alex Grande.
Brooks is a designer, meditator and explorer. He’s a former fuseproject designer, principal of Design by Seeing, partner at SeeingLabs, and resident designer at i/o ventures. Service is at the core of what he believes, and is humbled to be spear-heading the Shop for Japan effort with Kathryn Storm, and project-manage the team.
Alex is an humanitarian with experience in event production, cognitive science research, information architecture, software & web development. He founded the High Street World Music Festival in the early 2000s, went on to publish social, cognitive science research, and now works at Rearden Commerce as a mobile application developer. In his spare time he creates projects like Shop For Japan, and recently Recognize, a Facebook application.
Kathryn Storm is a visual designer and boxing enthusiast who runs a monthly workshop via Vegan Hackers SF, and blogs about food and loves getting involved in projects that do good.
Edward West is the co-founder of Mission Motors, has lectured at the Presidio Graduate School, and is Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship at California College of the Arts Design MBA Program. He is fascinated by social media, information theory, Integral Theory, non-dual traditions, and radically time-efficient cooking techniques.
Noel Vaughn is a veteran of early stage startups that have seen successful exits and boot-strapped profitability. He is experienced in developing all aspects of immersive web applications.
Jacob Park helps people collaborate to create innovative strategies for sustainability. Other interests include reading, storytelling, trees, the future, sustainable deliciousness, social media, urban exploration, and deipnosophy.
Lina Constantinovici is a a business strategist passionate about creating better futures through social innovation, education and catalyzing multi-sector global projects. As the Chief Strategy Officer for WorldCorps, Lina is currently designing a Global Leadership Skills curriculum that enables young professionals from around the world to make decisions and take action in their organizations and communities informed by the global economic, political, social, ecological, cultural systems at play and the skills needed to navigate them.
